The Pride of the Wildcats, hailing from Davie, Florida, forms the instrumental music department at Western High School. With roots dating back to the early 1980s, this program is known for its enduring tradition of excellence, offering students a superior music education while captivating audiences with vibrant, heartfelt performances at both regional and national events.

Alumni and current members of the Pride of the Wildcats have distinguished themselves as leaders and musicians, frequently taking on roles as mentors, entrepreneurs, business owners, and continuing their musical journeys in top-ranked colleges, businesses, and communities nationwide. Pride members consistently excel academically, ranking among the highest in their classes at both Western High and at the collegiate level, and are widely recognized as some of the school’s most actively engaged students, often participating in a wide array of sports, clubs, and activities beyond the classroom.
